He knows a lot of words but says a lot less. This is a page about the words he says.

man/madchen - we just sat and watched a slideshow on flickr and he sat there saying "man" or "madchen". Quite an easy task, given it was a slideshow of people from the ISMIR conference and they are mostly male. However, he did spot the few women, and, surprise, surprise, "auto".

Lots of new words, recently, most of which I can't remember... apart from:
Meeowma - occasionally his word for cat
rot - (red in german), said with a strong emphasis on the 't'
teddy - surprise, his word for his new friend, the teddy bear
wand - (wall in german)
tur - (door in german)
wet - again, with strong emphasis on 't'

weeho - wheel (often said in conjunction with "auto")

In no particular order:
no - often said, in response to any question, just in case the question is "do you want to go to bed?" ;-)
jajajaja (always in one go) - He doesn't say "yes" or "ja" yet.
auto - generic term he uses for anything that moves, that isn't a person or an animal
horsey - a horse (surprise). He regularly calls anything with four legs a horsey.
He can often be heard saying "auto" and "horsey" when in his bed, even when there are none in sight.
schaff - (german for sheep)
walk - much shorter than spazieren (german). Only uses it to demand that you and he go for a walk.
"malk" (milk) - uses this to mean any "drink"
"hallo
"bye bye"
mietz - a cat (german)
papamamaoma - dadmumgrandma. He has real problems saying "opa" (grandad) for some reason. Perhaps because it is too close to "papa"? He has no problems understanding it, he just can't say it.
goggy - a dog. I think I've started saying goggy more often than he says doggy.
gaga - the noise a duck makes (in german). He uses this to refer to his toy duck.
